We are passionate about providing unique and professional tours throughout their "Kingdom in the sky". We are ready to share our local knowledge, secrets and experiences with you to ensure that you have a safe and smooth journey through our Mountain Kingdom.

The Team
Jonathon and Armelle Halse: We have first-hand experience in tourism and have a passion for the industry. Since 1990 we have been running a historic lodge and taking it from strength to strength. I (Jonathon) am a 4th generation Masotho and Armelle is a French-Mauritian South African and together we have a scorching desire to share with you the secrets of Lesotho.

Steve, has been involved in the tourism industry since 1976, starting out as a free lance guide, to representing his country in North America in the Toronto and New York offices. His involvement in more recent year has been the development of tourism routes and facilities and the marketing thereof. The basis of his experience as tour operator has taken him to most of the Southern African countries. The Maluti Mountains of Lesotho remain his favorite and his passion.

Together we all work with the Basotho (native Lesotho people) every day and are a bridge between Lesotho and the outside world. We want to encourage tourism in a healthy way, share culture and bring new livelihoods to the Basotho. We share sustainable tourism aspirations with the whl.travel family.

Our goal is to provide opportunities for local people to access the benefits of tourism, especially in the far to reach places. We are dedicated to taking you to the most remote places in Lesotho even if we have to organise a donkey for you! While our main sustainable tourism goals relate to conservation of the environment, we realise that by working with the Basotho, and travellers, our goals will be more easily achieved. We go about achieving our goals by creating new income opportunities for the Basotho and educating and training them and travellers about the value of the environment. We have long-term plans to initiate volunteer tourism in the arts and crafts sector utilising Lesotho-based products, and have already been involved in training previously unemployed guides thereby giving them an income and new knowledge on environmental sustainability.
