St. James Guest Lodge offers self-catering acommodation including a lounge with a fireplace, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the equipment for cooking. The owners are very committed to responsible tourism and are involved in several ongoing projects, such as, supporting the local clinic and AIDS orphans as well as assisting the church.
St James Lodge is on the edge. At St James Lodge you really can get back to nature as there is no electricity and lighting apart from paraffin lamps and candles. The lounge has a welcoming fire place and water is heated with a coal burning boiler. Bear in mind that water pipes tend to freeze in winter so please ensure you shower during the daylight hours! Don't worry there are plenty hot water bottles available.
The kitchen is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, potjie pots, pots and pans. It has a gas stove and oven, but there is no refrigeration so it is recommended you bring a cooler box. There is a Weber braai, a skottel, and a potjie bomber-braai available plus 4 potjie pots.
The Senqu and Sehonghong Rivers are a great place for tubing or kayaking from October to April, however the water temperature is rather on the cold side limiting the duration of exposure to the icy liquid. Fly fishing is great on the upper Sehonghong and Linakaneng Rivers although you'll might need to hike 1 - 2 km to reach a good spot.

Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to arrival do not incur charges.
- Cancellations made within 10 days of arrival incur a 10% per day charge for every day up until the day prior to arrival, when the cancellation charge will be 100% the booking value.
- In the event of a premature departure or no-show the full extent of stay as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged.
- Refunds and waiver of cancellation policies are at the discretion of management and the ability to re-let rooms.
