Semonkong Lodge is unique in Lesotho for a number of reasons. Semonkong Lodge boasts the only world record in Lesotho. The Lodge waves the Guinness World Record flag for the longest commercially run abseil in the world! At 204m, or 670ft, in length and located next to the spectacular Maletsunyane Waterfall, prepare to get wet! The Maletsunyane River is an ideal swimming spot especially after a day in the mountains. The Semonkong Lodge Tavern also provides an unobtrusive vantage point to watch Basotho people go about their daily routine.
At the Semonkong Lodge fully licensed restaurant and bar, Thatcher's Tavern, you can enjoy a local beer or cup of hot coffee. The Tavern provides a perfect, non-intrusive vantage point from where you can view the Basotho people with their ponies and donkeys followed by shaggy sheep dogs, as they go about their daily routine.

Cancellation Policy:
-December, long weekends and Easter reservations require a full non-refundable deposit to be paid.
-Cancellations made between 15 to 30 days prior to check-in date incur a cancellation fee of 10%.
-Cancellations made between 0 and 14 days prior to check-in date do not receive any deposit refund.
