Moorosi Chalets

Adventures lie in wait for all travellers who visit Lesotho and decide to stay at this quaint establishment. One can take part in Fly Fishing and Pony Trekking, activities that allow guests to explore the natural surrounding and see the expanse of the mountains that lay before them.

Situated at the foot of the famous Thabo Moorosi, where Chief Moorosi fought the British, this destination is filled with culture; the ruins of the Moorosi fortress can still be seen at the very top of this beautiful mountain.

All the rooms are ensuite and can easily accommodate small families. For guests who wish to pitch their own tents, Moorosi Chalets provides a camping area surrounded by nature and fresh mountain air.

With pure spring water following down the mountainside, no electricity and no cell phone connectivity, the chalets provide the perfect opportunity to explore Southern Lesotho and unwind in a beautiful setting. Guided hiking trips to the waterfalls and other interesting places are also on offer.

Moorosi Chalets provides a good overnight base for trans-Lesotho trips, especially between Malealea Lodge and Qachas Nek/Sehlabathbe.

The accommodation is run by a manageress, Malebohang Phatsoane, from QWDT. She offers warm, Basotho hospitality and ensures all guests have a pleasant stay.

Late check-outs are possible, subject to availability of rooms.
