Situated on the road to Moteng Pass is this family run B&B, steeped in traditional values, sleep under thatch, cow dung floors, and walls decorated in painted patterns.
It is in a real and serene Basotho village, with nothing but mountain and sky surrounding the beautifully nutured property.
Meals are taken with the family, prepared along traditional lines - enjoy chicken, beef or lamb stews, with papa and mountain bread called Bhobe.
For the morning washing ritual - Basotho style - a dish of hot water is supplied with soap and crisp fresh towels in the privacy of your room. Mind you, the dish would only be big enough for a child of up to one year. The toilet is a sandstone outhouse approximately 30 m from the room.
This is the perfect experience for anyone who is eager to learn more about the Basotho culture, and enjoy the beautiful natural features of Lesotho.
Join in under the shade of the palm tree out on the terrace to take part in community discussions.
Activities are community-based and guides and ponies are sourced from other members in the community. The Lipofung Caves are not far away and you can visit by walking or riding there on horseback through the village of Ha Molapo. Also nearby is the Muela |Power station which offers tours. Village walks will take you to schools, the area chief and the nursery.

The last 500 m of the road to the guest house is very rough. While a sedan with reasonable clearance will make it in dry weather, it is not recommended after rain. Expect a rough, bumpy, slow ride, but it is worth it!
